A couple of weekends ago I was treated to a display by the Red Arrows who were doing their thing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. I’m fortunate enough to live just a few minutes away from Goodwood so found myself enjoying a spectacular show out of my bedroom window. At one point the planes were so close to my house that I could actually see the pilots inside as the flew over my roof!

I can recommend Amy as she’s helped me at events several times, and has shown a great passion for helping people coupled with a great flair for making even the simplest dishes taste fantastic.

My Mediterranean Almond Bread caused quite a stir when I posted it, getting me some very kind comments on various discussion boards. It’s so fantastic to know that something I’ve created has helped someone find a piece of the puzzle that they so needed to help them live a healthier life, in this case, an alternative to bread. That tactile feeling of holding something when eating (get your head out of the gutter!) is very important to me, as it is to a lot of people. (more…)

Durian, the Marmite of the raw food world. Revered by many, loathed by the rest of the community, there’s no real middle ground as far as ‘The King of Fruits’ is concerned. Personally, I love durian, having tasted it fresh in Thailand.
Most people’s problem with durian comes from it’s smell which has earned the fruit descriptions such as, “old gym socks” or, “a bunch of dead cats”.
But could all that be about to change?
